Sfera Celeste Project - The Solar Return (Promo Mix 2011)

The_solar_return
The Solar Return

For our Sfera Celeste Project we have chosen, unlike with our Audiosculpture techno sets using vinyl, to go for a more futuristic setup. It is not our goal though to keep using the latest technological equipment. However, aiming to mix the many different electronical styles from the past, present and future calls for focusing on not only the big differences in tempo but also on melody. Combining all these into one sound was a huge challenge for us. All of this has resulted in a unique workable live setup.

Our spider in the web is Ableton Live which is installed on a MacBook. This is controlled by TouchAble on an iPad and a UC33 by Evolution. Trying out this setup in the studio has resulted in a piece with the working title: The Solar Return. We thought it would be nice to share this first production with you all. We hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we did while mixing this: a sound similar to our productions on Visitors Records, layer upon layer upon layer. A blend of electro, disco and techno into one. Something you can expect when you experiencing a Sfera Celeste Project liveset.

Eddy Kreischer & René van Geenen.

Visitors Records: The Birth

Every music lover wil remember that special moment when all the pieces of the puzzle fit perfectly, at the age of 13 I had my moment. Already blown away by the typical Fellini madness in the first part of the movie  "La città delle donne", the following took place: Snaporaz (Marcello Mastroianni) is in a car on a misty road amongst a bunch of wild women when a UFO is flying over dropping off an extraterrestial song. Later this song turns out to be Gino Soccio's masterpiece " The Visitors". It was then when my love for electonic music was born, never to die anymore.

When my close friends Eddy Kreischer and René van Geenen played me the first track of their Sfera Celeste Project my mind went back to that magical moment presented by Fellini and Soccio in 1980. I suggested to release this track with a vocal version on the B side, we had no doubts about the perfect voice for this track: Fred Ventura. We asked him to write the lyrics and to come to Holland: " Walk With Me" was born. While recording the vocals in the Alfred Klaassen studio in Amsterdam we decided to name our new label Visitors Records. The rest is history because at the 22th of november the track was worldwide distributed by Clone Rotterdam.

First release on Visitors Records

Cover-front
Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the Visitors Records Blog. We are very busy getting everything online.

Within the next few weeks we'll report about things like the question why we started the record-company Visitors Records and how we came up with the name. We think we've got nice stories to tell you! ;-)

Too many things to do at the same time: busy getting the tracks online and of course planning our label-party in The Hague, The Netherlands. But, first things first. The vinyl must be on the market somewhere in October.
